Matthew Nelson has been the executive director of the Arizona Trail Association since 2012. The ATA is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to protect, maintain, enhance, promote and sustain the Arizona Trail, an 800-mile national scenic trail that spans the entire north-south length of the U.S. state of Arizona. Today we’re going to talk about the Arizona Trail and the Arizona Trail Association, and what exactly is required to “maintain a national scenic trail”.
