Shaun Durkee is the owner of Alpen Fuel, a backpacking food company based in Bozeman, Montana. It was started in the fall of 2018 by Shaun and his wife Emily as a side business while Shaun was pursuing an engineering career. During the pandemic, however, a layoff propelled the two to make Alpen Fuel into a full-time business. Now, Alpen fuel can be found in dozens of retail stores around the world (including ours).
